The Most Worshipful Grand Master of Idaho John E. Warner and his Grand Lodge Officers are looking forward to seeing you at the 149th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M of Idaho. By now you should have registered for the Communication to be held at the Wyndham Garden Boise Airport. It is not to late to register if you have not already - Register (for Idaho Masons only) if you have not already.

From the initial counts, looks like there will be a full house.  See all of you at there on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September.

I am saddened to report that Brother Lance Stanley, Jr. Warden of Shoshone 25 passed away yesterday morning.  There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, Aug 27th at 2 p.m. at the Brooks in Wallace with a Masonic Service.

BOISE LODGE NO. 2 A.F. & A.M.
 
We hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and look forward to seeing you at a meeting.  Boise #2 will resume its labors tomorrow, Tuesday, September 6th with a very fine dinner of Chicken Cordon Bleu, mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, green beans, salad and dinner rolls all topped off with a Rainbow Sherbet. Plan to attend this meal and bring your wife and any prospective members.  
 
Our Stated Meeting will be at 7:30 PM after the dinner.  We have much to discuss and will be reviewing the Grand Lodge Resolutions and 2017 Budget. They can be found on the Grand Lodge website: idahomasons.org.
 
Grand Lodge will be the following week, Sept. 15-17, here in Boise at the Wyndham Garden Hotel on Vista at the Airport.  You can still register on the Grand Lodge website to attend this 149th Session.  I am also looking for some volunteers to help the Sesquicentennial Committee sell some items for our Grand Lodge's 150th Anniversary.  
 
The Idaho City Historic Lodge #1863 will meet in the historic Idaho City Masonic Hall on Sat., Sept. 17th at 2:30 PM.  You do not need to be a member to attend. Lifetime memberships can be made for $50.  The Grand Lodge of Idaho was formed in this building on Dec. 17, 1867.  Plan to attend and sit where our Masonic fore fathers sat and formed our Grand Lodge.
 
Our District #7 Fall Session with the new Grand Master will be held on Wednesday, September 21st with Oriental Lodge #50 hosting.  Dinner at 6:30 pm with the meeting at 7:30 pm.

As secretary of Fidelity #80 in Glenns Ferry, the host lodge for Fall district communication, I welcome all masons in the above districts #4,5,6.         Hey Gang!  The guys at Ionic # 82 in Cascade are trying to put together a 3rd Degree in about three weeks and I'm trying to see if we have enough help to get it done.  The candidate's father is a Past Grand Master ( I believe) from Ohio and wants to attend.  He is going to be in Idaho on September 27th and 28th.  The only jobs we have spoken for are:  the Candidate, King Solomon, and Hiram of Tire.  Can anyone lend their 3rd degree assistance?  Steve

Sesquicentennial Committee Gun Raffle
The Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M of Idaho Sesquicentennial Committee 

has purchased two commemorative masonic rifles that are both unique.  These rifles will be sold by raffle ticket at a price of $20 per ticket with the f unds t o help pay for the  S esquicentennia l Celebration and the remainder to go to the Grand Lodge of Idaho Endowment Fund.  
Rifle 1. Marlin 45-70 Masonic Commemorative Rifle Serial Number "150".  It is 1 of 1000 made but this one will be 1 of 1 because of its unique  Serial Number and there will be two Sesquicentennial Coins embedded in the stock of the rifle.

Rifle 2. Henry "Golden Boy .22" is a Masonic Commemorative Rifle with a serial number of "GLID18672017"

Raffle will be held Sept. 22, 2017 at the 150th  Annual  Communication  General Membership Banquet.
You do not need to be present to win.



Tickets cost $20.00

Air Force Appreciation Day Parade 2016
   
The Elmore Shrine Club and The El Korah Tin Lizzie Patrol would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the Mountain Home Air Force Appreciation Day Parade on Saturday 10 September 2016.
 
The parade will start at 10:30A.M. Line up will begin at 9:30A.M. on South Main Street by the Commercial Tire Store.

Amaranth


The Order of the Amaranth is a social, fraternal, philanthropic organization that is separate but related to the Masonic Lodge in that all of our members are either a Mason or a female relative of a Mason. Majority members of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and Jobs Daughters International are also eligible under certain conditions. Our groups are called Courts and we currently have active Courts in Boise, Mountain Home, and Gooding and are working toward developing a Court in the Eastern side of the state. Our precepts are Truth, Faith, Wisdom, and Charity and our primary philanthropic project is to support the Amaranth Diabetes Research fund. This fund, is in conjunction with the American Diabetes Association, is a 501c3 organization that finances research projects that are working toward a cure for Diabetes, both juvenile and adult onset. We also fund scholarships for Masonic related youth who are going on to college.
