December 20, 2011

Greetings!

CELEBRATE this season of giving.  The Stampede Committee, Staff, Wranglers, Old Buckers and families hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We certainly have reason to give thanks to so many people and businesses in Greeley and Northern Colorado that helped make the 2011 Greeley Independence Stampede a success.

Early this year we asked for help from our community.  We had many challenges facing us and we were not sure the 2011 event would take place.  Community pride and involvement from so many allowed us to move forward.  For the 89th year, a celebration of national patriotism, historic tradition and family fun took place.  Even though the economy and other issues threatened, the 2011 Stampede was a success.

The Greeley Stampede is a showcase of who we are as a community, a reunion of generations and cultures.  It provides an opportunity to gather and share what is right and good about Northern Colorado.  CELEBRATE! - The theme for the 89th event was truly embraced by the thousands of patrons who participated this year.  There was positive energy throughout the Stampede that facilitated an environment for a wholesome celebration of our nation's independence.

It is important to thank the volunteers who assist to host our annual event, to recognize the area officials who provide amenities to support the health, safety and comfort of our guests, and the area media for reporting the positive.  Moreover, we want to extend our appreciation to all who invested their precious leisure time and limited entertainment dollars to attend the Stampede.  You are the reason that the Stampede continues as the single largest annual event in Northern Colorado.

We thank you Greeley and Northern Colorado for your past support and we are excited about the upcoming 90th edition.  We are thrilled to announce the concert line up for the 90th Greeley Stampede (see below)!  Concert, rodeo and demolition derby tickets are all on sale now by visiting www.greeleystampede.org or by calling 970-356-7787!
