Check out what's happening at the Hill.
Continuing to Connect as a Church
It has been a couple of weeks since we began practicing physical distancing. During these challenging times, we continue to follow the recommendations and directives of public health experts and public officials. We continue to find ways to stay connected as a church family in a variety of ways. We pray you are remaining hopeful during these times. God is in control and we trust Him to get us through everything we go through!
Food Bank Opens on Saturday
Our Food Bank will reopen on Saturday, March 28 from 10am-1pm . In an effort to protect our volunteers and the families we serve, food will be distributed from the senior parking lot, at the corner of Fairburn Rd and Camp Ground Road, in a "drive thru"fashion. Bags will be prepacked with a variety of foods needed for families.
Thank You to Our Clergy

Continued efforts are being made to reach out to our home bound sick and shut in and seniors as a means of wellness/welfare checking. Please call the Clergy on Call line at 404-626-9957 to make known needs.

Sign Up to Pray During Holy Week
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

We urge everyone to unite in seeking the face of God through prayer and fasting, persistently asking our Father to send revival to the Church and spiritual awakening to our nation so that Christ’s Great Commission might be fulfilled worldwide in our generation.

Our prayer slots are 10 minutes each and run 24 hours a day for 7 days starting from  Sunday, April 5 through Saturday, April 11 . Some of you may say you can do a few slots a week, some half an hour or an hour or more daily. Whatever it is, we want to encourage you to let it be a sacred time. Getting up in the early hours won’t be easy but it will be a blessing.

We are hoping to see every slot covered! We want there to be prayer going on all over the city. To sign up for a slot go to the day and time you want to pray and enter your name & your email. You will then get an email to confirm your prayer time.

Holy Week Daily Prayer

The number to call in is (712)770-4932

Know the Signs
Ben Hill's Health and Wellness Ministry wants everyone to stay informed on the signs and symptoms of Covid-19. Follow the link below to learn more about protecting yourself in this season.
Know Your Status for 2020:
Diabetes Mellitus (commonly known as Diabetes)
Diabetes is a (metabolic) disease caused by some defect in the chemical reactions of the cells of the body. As a result, the glucose levels tend to stay higher because of an inadequate amount of insulin delivered to the pancreas that causes:
1) Frequent urination
2) Expanded thirst
3) Expanded cravings

There are three (3) noteworthy types of Diabetes: Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes.

It has been reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) that on an average of 1 out of every 13 people are diagnosed globally with Diabetes each year. It is projected that Diabetes will be the seventh (7th) leading cause of death by the year 2030.

Make an appointment with your doctor!!! Your doctor will determine if your A1C (blood sugar / glucose) level is Normal, or if you are Prediabetic or Diabetic.
Normal - A1C range is 4.8 – 5.6
Prediabetic - A1C range is 5.7 – 6.4
Diabetic – A1C range is 6.5 and higher

The #1 goal for managing your A1C level and will depend on your age and medical history. Also know that Diabetes can be diagnosed as early as childhood so knowing your family history is of absolute importance.
