West Oahu Station Group groundbreaking ceremony at UH West Oahu Station site.
The Honolulu Rail Transit project broke ground on the West Oahu Station Group, including East Kapolei, Hoopili and the University of Hawaii at West Oahu stations.
The groundbreaking ceremony was held this week, at the future site of the UH West Oahu Station in Kapolei. State and city officials attended this milestone event.
Those involved on the West Oahu Station Group construction and Honolulu Rail Transit Project placed their
hands on the station project signs.
The East Kapolei and UH West Oahu Stations will be located off Kualakai Parkway (North-South Road) in Kapolei. Hoopili Station will be located off Farrington Highway within the future master-planned community.
Nan, Inc. is the contractor for the three West Oahu Stations that are scheduled to be completed in 2018.
HONOLULU'S RAIL CARS DELIVERED TO OUR
RAIL OPERATIONS CENTER
Four rail cars have been delivered to our Rail Operations Center in Waipahu.
The second set of rail cars for Honolulu's Rail Transit project arrived at Pasha Hawaii Pier 51, this week. All four cars have been transported to the Rail Operations Center in Waipahu.
CONSTRUCTION WORK NOTICE FOR
KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY/DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD
INVESTIGATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITIES
(Laumaka and Mokauea Streets)
The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) would like to notify area residents and businesses that we will be conducting investigative potholing work to located underground utilities at various locations on Dillingham Boulevard between Laumaka and Mokauea Streets.
Work will take place on both Ewa and Diamond Head bound lanes of Dillingham Boulevard on weekdays and during normal working hours, from Monday, April 4, 2016 through Friday, April 15, 2016 between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Some night and/or weekend work may be scheduled on a limited basis, as needed and if required.
Scheduled lane closures will take place as required and may present limited traffic interruption. Special duty police officers may be on hand to assist with the flow of area traffic. There may be an increase in noise levels from machinery for those who are within close proximity to the work zone.
