ISTA Hoosier Educator of the Year
Janet and her students competing at the
2021 We the People National Finals.
Janet Chandler, Foundation board member, was recently named Indiana State Teachers Association Hoosier Educator of the Year. The award is given annually based on professional practice, advocacy for the profession, attention to diversity, community engagement, and leadership in professional development.

It is very well-deserved given Janet’s dedication to not only teaching the We the People and Mock Trial programs at Hamilton Southeastern High School and serving on the Civic Education Task Force but improving the teaching profession and civics statewide. Congratulations!
