Indiana Students Selected for U.S. Senate Youth Program
Ishaan Modi, Hamilton Southeastern High School, and William Schrepferman, Zionsville High School, were selected as Indiana's 2019 delegates for the U.S. Senate Youth Program. Each delegate will receive a $10,000 college scholarship and week-long trip to Washington, D.C. this March to study the federal government and its leaders.
Indiana Civil Legal Aid Economic Impact Study Results
The Coalition for Court Access (CCA) completed a study on the financial benefits that come from civil legal aid services. The findings show that for every $1 invested in Indiana legal aid, the citizens of Indiana receive nearly $7 in immediate and long-term financial benefits. New Mock Trial Region Added
 
The Foundation is excited to partner with the Evansville Bar Association in hosting the first Indiana High School Mock Trial Regional Competition in Evansville on February 16. Four Evansville high schools will compete at the regional with 55 teams competing statewide.

Adding this regional will help more volunteers get experience leading up to the 2020 national competition that will be hosted in Evansville.

Volunteers do not need previous experience or to be an attorney to participate. Find all competition dates and register to volunteer, or contact Collin Gruver, 317-608-6503, for more information.
New Legal Help Website for Hoosiers

The CCA launched its website, Indianalegalhelp.orgfor low and modest means Hoosiers needing help with a divorce, child custody issue, eviction or other civil legal problems. In the last quarter of 2018, over 54,000 visitors accessed the site, which links to legal services agencies and court forms for unrepresented litigants. An article by The Indiana Lawyer highlights additional benefits and plans for further improving the site.
