CALLING ALL ARTISTS

The Redwood City Public Library Art Exhibit Jury Selection invites local artists to submit work to be considered for exhibit at the Downtown Library and Redwood Shores Branch. On Thursday, February 6 at 6:30pm, the jury will be choosing artwork and photography to be displayed from March 2025 to February 2026. To be eligible, artists must live, work or volunteer with a community organization within the boundaries of the Sequoia Union High School District, or be members of the Sequoia Art Group.


If an artist would like to be considered but is unable to attend the jury event, they may submit digital copies of artwork and artist statement by email. Digital copies must be received by Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 5:00pm.

CAREER ONLINE HIGH SCHOOL

Want to kick start your education goals? Start the new year off right by getting your high school diploma free through Redwood City Public Library.


Career Online High School offers adults the opportunity to complete their high school education and gain career training through a self-paced, supportive and accredited online education program. All learners are supported throughout the program by our Project READ staff.

Thanks to your incredible generosity, the Redwood City Library Foundation has surpassed our year-end fundraising goal by 50%! Together, we've raised over $55,000 during our fall appeal—what an amazing achievement!

Your support directly empowers the Library to offer FREE materials, resources, and initiatives that keep everyone in our community engaged, growing and connected.


With your donations, the Foundation provides funds for vital Library initiatives such as:

  • Expanding our Makerspace with tools and supplies
  • Providing Wi-Fi hotspots and iPads to Bridge the Digital Divide
  • Distributing free books for kids through the Summer Learning Challenge
  • Offering Brainfuse online tutoring
  • Supporting Career Online High School enrollees
  • Launching the Bienvenidos Spanish Language Interpretation initiative
  • Hosting Lego Robotics sessions at branch libraries
  • Bringing Traveling Storytime to daycare centers and preschools throughout Redwood City

The San Mateo County Department of Emergency Management and Thrive Alliance are hosting a FREE Wildfire Safety Webinar with practical tips to help you prepare for wildfires.

  • Packing Go Bags
  • Creating defensible space
  • Free and low-cost resources

Seaside Story Hour
