The City of Fallon features their annual Christmas Tree Lighting on December 6, and Maine Street will once again be aglow. This Christmas tradition is a joyous event in Fallon when the community turns out for carolers, cookies and hot chocolate, the first glimpse of Santa and to watch the Christmas tree light up downtown Maine Street.

A Spectacular Kickoff to the Holiday Season in Ely
December 6-7 Features the Festival of Trees Auction, Christmas Crafter's Festival, Christmas Parade, and Christmas Tree Lighting
After a full week of
Festival of Trees, voting on donated and decorated Christmas trees at the Bristlecone Convention Center, the day finally comes for the banquet and auction on

The
Christmas Crafter's Festival takes place on
Saturday, December 7, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Convention Center. The vendors will have their items on display and for sale until 4 p.m. It is amazing how talented our community is. Please stop by to let them share their talents with you. During the Crafter's festival, Santa Claus will be available to visit with the children. His schedule will be posted at the Convention Center. Alana Wise will be taking pictures and prints can be ordered directly from her.
Saturday is also the day of the
Christmas Parade
that takes place from 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm.
The Parade will start at Broadbent Park and culminate at the Veterans Memorial Park (County Park).
This year's Christmas Parade theme is "A Classic Christmas."
Following the parade is
the Community
Tree Lighting
in the Sculpture Park across from Economy Drug.
The lighting will mark the end of a long, festive week, but also the beginning of the White Pine's Christmas season.

Ride the Christmas Train in Ely
Santa's Reindeer Flyer Train Ride runs on weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas
The Nevada Northern Railway Museum celebrates the holiday season with a fantastic adventure for kids of all ages! A trip to the North Pole on Santa's Reindeer Flyer Christmas Train, to see the jolly old elf himself. This magical family adventure departs from Ely, Nevada for a magical adventure to the North Pole on board a train.
On the journey northward, you will meet a lively bunch of Santa's helpers who will serve all of the passengers hot chocolate cookies. They will also lead everyone in singing the holiday favorites that we all know and love. Of course, photo-ops are plentiful along the way, so bring your camera and dress the part, if you like. And yes, pajamas are very much in style on this family train ride.
