Lovejoy Community,
We hope you are enjoying quality family time and exciting new adventures this summer!
We are excited to share that on Monday, July 11th, Rodricka Taylor will begin her role as Coordinator for the Superintendent and Board Services. Kim Steiner, who previously supported the Superintendent's Office and School Board, is transitioning into a less than part-time Coordinator of Communications role. Her new role will allow her to continue serving Lovejoy, get closer to home, and have more time to dedicate to her family.
Ms. Taylor has been part of the Lovejoy ISD team since 2020 and most recently served as Administrative Assistant to the Lovejoy High School Assistant Principals. In her new role, Ms. Taylor will provide direct support to Katie Kordel and the Superintendent’s Office.
Ms. Taylor moved from Chicago, IL to Frisco, TX in 2017 to plant her roots. In 2018, Ms. Taylor received her Associates Degree in Education from Collin College in Frisco, TX where she served as a preschool teacher. She then received her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University in 2021 in Political Science.
Ms. Taylor is an excellent match for this position due to her strong communication skills, professionalism, and proven ability to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Ms. Taylor has a passion for our Lovejoy students that she will carry into her new role.
Prior to Lovejoy ISD, Ms. Taylor has served in the legal field as a legal assistant to several attorneys in both Illinois and Texas. As a member of the Executive Cabinet, Ms. Taylor is equipped to support our organizational alignment.
