June Campaign Update!

Hello Darren,

As part of my role as your Representative I want to keep the community educated on legislative issues. Earlier this month, I had a casual coffee hour at the Darien Diner to run through a legislative update from our session. Thanks to all who joined. If you missed it please let me know. I’m happy to host a second update or talk with folks individually. 

This is an amazing time of year with Memorial Day Parades in both Rowayton and Darien, graduations, proms, fundraisers for our local charities.  I was so happy to help celebrate at Inspirica with my friend and Board Member Marcy Minnick.  To welcome the summer interns at Person to Person, and to applaud Filling in the Blanks for receiving the Impact Fairfield County Grant!

Congratulations to our High School Graduating Seniors and Families!

Our community is proud of the accomplishments of our seniors. We have a graduate in our family as well, and it’s exciting to think about how these young people will make their impact. 

I encourage our new graduates to register to vote. Early and absentee voting are available for those who will be away at college in the fall (we’ll provide more details in future eblasts).

Parents: please reinforce with your new voters the importance of local and state elections in our daily life, and the opportunity they present (unlike national races) to actually meet the candidates. And reach out - I’d love to discuss the issues.

Fundraising Goal Met!

Thanks to broad community support, I have submitted my materials and funds for public campaign funding through the Citizens’ Election Program, and I'm awaiting receipt of our grant. I appreciate the speedy response for my re-election campaign from so many donors, and as a reflection of your confidence in my track record as your State Rep.
