Progress on Chanate
If you have been following our relocation story, you probably saw in the news that the County of Sonoma recently accepted a bid for the Chanate Campus. The winning offer includes a provision for BRC - a renewed lease for up to 2 years at $1/year and a $50,000 contribution towards our relocation.

The property is not yet in escrow, but should this deal come to fruition, it not only gives us the time we need to build our new facility, it also represents a significant contribution to our capital campaign!

And now we have a challenge!
The timing of this development coincides with the public launch of Invest in the Skies, the campaign to fund our new facility. While an overall goal of almost $6.8M can be intimidating, I am pleased to report we are over halfway to the finish line! And now, we have an incredibly generous offer from Mary Love, in memory of her late husband, David. She has pledged to match every dollar raised during a Challenge Match, all the way up to $250,000!
As of today, every donation made to
Invest in the Skies
will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000!
Mary's generosity and confidence in us immediately prompted loyal BRC ally Joanne Dow to donate $50,000 in matching funds. We are incredibly inspired by these magnanimous supporters and hope you will be, too.
What's at stake
This modern avian hospital and education center situated on 5 acres off Guerneville Road in central Santa Rosa will support our commitment to provide care for our native wild bird populations and educate young and old alike about their vital role in maintaining a healthy environment.
Invest in the Skies!

As your gift and others are doubled with this match, you are creating a safe haven for injured and orphaned birds and a sustainable community resource. Your caring ensures we can all continue to experience the thrill of watching raptors soar high overhead, the wonder of seeing our Ambassadors up close, the joy of listening to songbirds, and the relief of seeing post-disaster environmental recovery as the seeds birds spread sprout and grow.

Your generosity will help fill our hearts and skies with song!

So... Are you up to the challenge?!?
If so, there has never been a better time to support BRC and the vital work taking place each and every day!

With deep gratitude,

Ashton
