Hog Dog Ministry
Are you looking for a local mission opportunity? The Hot Dog Ministry is a great way for individuals and families to serve together. Middle school and older students along with adults can help serve a meal, usually a fried chicken supper, to folks in need of a hot meal. The suppers are served at Morris Street Baptist Church on a Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. The next time to serve is Tuesday, August 26. There will be another opportunity to serve this November 4.
To volunteer to help, please contact Pat Jennings at Bellinger.56@att.net.

Rise Church in Portland, Maine
St. Michaelites Mike and Shelley Walker, George Thompson, Dan Polon and son, Adam Polon, along with former member Tyson Nettles, had an extremely fulfilling and productive mission trip to RISE Church in July. They participated in leading an ALPHA-based VBS for three nights for youth. They also participated in citywide prayer walks, team building activities and much more. We look forward to a report to the parish on Mission Sunday in November. RISE Church regularly posts on Instagram and it’s an informative way to stay current with their message of spreading the gospel.

God’s Grace for All Nations (GGFAN) Kenya
A new organization, the Advancement Council, has just been established to support GGFAN (God’s Grace for All Nations.) It’s a small, United States-based, group of people with deep interests and knowledge of Kenya and GGFAN. Recently, St. Michaelite Susan Waring accepted an invitation to the group. She has been on mission to Kenya and has regularly participated in conference calls with the pastors who serve in a strategic part of this East African nation.

Lamb Institute - Honduras
The LAMB Institute, a multi-faceted ministry located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras is growing. God continues to expand LAMB’s influence and ability to care for, educate, protect, and empower those suffering extreme poverty, abuse, and exploitation in Honduras. This year alone LAMB saw God 1) expand the daycare from ten to 30 children, providing a safe place for single mothers to leave their children while they search for work; 2) increase JOY Christian Academy from 81 to 124 students, offering a hope and a future through bilingual education; and 3) grow the inner-city school from 250 to 305 students, creating a faith-based alternative to a life of gangs and drugs.
More and more children and families are experiencing the love of Christ through LAMB’s commitment to follow the Lamb wherever He goes. Thank you, St. Michael’s for joining us in this great work to share the love of Jesus to the least of these in our Hungering World. We are pleased with the progress being made on the 2026 GIC. We are thrilled to report that the Rev. Dan Wolfe from Rise Church in Maine will be our final speaker for the Conference. As you know, St. Michael’s sent a mission team to Maine earlier this summer. They had a memorable time in that beautiful part of the country spreading the good news of Jesus Christ along with the Rev. Wolfe and his team.
Also, we are working hand and glove with the Mission Task Force to identify mission partners from the Holy City, the Hurting Coast and the Hungering World to attend the GIC this year and spend quality time with our Church sharing updates on their various ministries. We are really excited to make this happen!
If you have any questions/suggestions/ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out. My cell phone is (803) 968-3360.
Best,
Mary Mac and Cooper Wilson
