2025 Mission Task Force Annual Report
Mission & Media Impact on
Strengthening Our Foundations for Growth
God is great and significant progress and strategic achievements were made throughout 2025 in support of mission. This year an ongoing commitment to organizational clarity, digital media evolution, and the expansion of our global mission footprint, mission partners have been able to communicate the Global Impact of mission to spread the gospel message through mission.
A primary focus of 2025 was the centralization of our messaging from the Mission Task Force. By aligning our clergy, sermon series, and staff communications, we ensured that our congregation receives a consistent and powerful spiritual message connected to missions. This unity was most visible during our Mission Sundays. We successfully wove these events into our preaching calendar, creating a seamless link between scripture-based teaching and real-world mission application. This integration has helped the congregation see mission work not as an “extra” activity, but as a direct extension of our biblical mandate. Acts 1:8
We have continued to evolve our digital presence, recognizing that media is a vital tool for modern discipleship. Our efforts this year included:
* Skill Development: The mission teams focused on mastering digital platforms, optimizing our website and social media channels to better serve as a hub for engagement.
* The Power of Testimony: We prioritized video storytelling, capturing the heart of our community through the testimonies of parishioners and the life-changing work of our mission partners.
* Video Integration: Building on our current library, we have increased the use of video within Global Impact Celebration (GIC) opportunities, allowing the congregation to witness "boots-on-the-ground" impact regardless of their location.
Our mission landscape continues to grow, marked by both the deepening of current ties and the cultivation of new ones.
* 2026 Initiatives: Planning is already underway for exciting new opportunities during GIC and the Walk for Water event in March of 2026, led by David and Lisa Floyd. We know that a congregation that does mission together grows together and exercises the inner calling to use their own hands and feet to move others into a relationship with Christ.
“Our mission impact is no longer just a report on a page; through the power of testimony and unified messaging, it has become part of the heartbeat of our congregation.”
As we end the year, we wish to extend our thanks to all those who made commitment through mission offerings. The Mission Task Force has been able to steward the distribution of more than $130,000 in “Undesignated” mission offerings. In addition to undesignated gifts, there were several individual “Designated” gifts to mission partners parishioners had a heart for supporting, in excess of $10,000. Designated gifting continues to be one of the most significant ways St. Michaelites support mission, and the total amount of designated gifts is lifting the total giving to almost $250,000 this year. We extend on behalf of all our mission partners the greatest levels of gratitude for these offerings of financial support.
We want to make sure everyone is seeing the stories we share! If you aren’t on our media roster yet, please contact us at: mission@stmichaelschurch.net. We’d love to connect and share monthly the great work your Mission Task Force is doing.
As the year draws to a close, we wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Mission Task Force leaders and the GIC team — both past and present. We are profoundly grateful for the time and talent devoted to the calling, as stewards of supporting mission.
