The NCA board chose this year's Fall Forum as the launch point for some strategic planning work to guide the organization's work moving forward. The Forum is one of two annual in-person networking events hosted by the NCA and is a great opportunity to meet fellow NCA members. It has been more than a decade since the NCA evaluated its role in the North Country and what we can do to better serve business in the region.
Victoria Zinser Duley, Executive Director of the Adirondack Economic Development Corporation, facilitated a SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) analysis process. The attendees sat at four large tables for a working lunch and discussion about the successful work the NCA does in the region and what resources can be leveraged to have a greater impact. The lively conversations resulted in quite a few ideas. A working group is now forming to turn those ideas into a plan for action.
Thank you again to National Grid and Workforce Development Institute for sponsoring the event.
