NCA at the Seaway

The NCA's Fall Forum packed the Seaway Visitor Center on October 16th. Seaway Administrator Adam Tindall-Schlicht shared information about the seaway, and exciting new plans for the future, especially in areas of tourism. The new Visitor Center provided a unique and educational venue, especially because several ships passed through the locks during the event.

The NCA's bi-annual in-person membership meetings are growing as the organization is growing. In addition to being great networking events, these meetings showcase unique North Country assets and feature lively discussions about timely economic development topics. If there is a topic of discussion, venue, or area of the North Country that you think should be part of these meetings, please contact the NCA's Communication Committee Chair, Joe Russo at Joseph.Russo@nationalgrid.com.

Education and Outreach Agenda

Each year the NCA produces an Education and Outreach Agenda outlining the organization's priorities. These priorities focus on easing business restrictions and encouraging growth in North Country communities. The agenda is created by the Outreach and Education Committee with input from any member.

While state-level representatives have traditionally been the agenda's primary audience, the committee has expanded its outreach to include local and county legislators, recognizing that their expertise and perspective on regional issues are essential in directing the right resources toward economic growth.

To review last year’s agenda, please click here. If you would like to be involved in setting the next set of priorities, please reach out to Committee Chair Jeremy Evans at jeremy@adirondackfrontier.com.
