Wednesday, October 19, 2022

10:00am to 1:30pm

Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid.

Renewable Energy in NYS: Understanding the Evolving Landscape and How it Affects North Country Communities will be the discussion topic at this year's Fall Forum. We will have TWO panels at this event. Before lunch, experts from NYSERDA, NY Independent System Operator (NYISO), NYPA, and National Grid will discuss New York's Clean Energy Future: Clean Path NY. After lunch, a panel with representatives from Essex County, Natural Lewis, ANCA, and others will discuss community initiatives.

Beyond being an ideal time for current members to network, the Fall Forum in October and the Annual Meeting in June provide us with a chance to introduce the NCA – our advocacy initiatives and our loan fund – to additional business leaders and lending partners. Please invite anyone you feel would contribute to, or benefit from, the discussion.

NYS Grant Program for Small Enterprises

The New York State Seed Funding Grant Program was created to provide assistance to early-stage small businesses to succeed in a recovering New York State economy.

Eligible businesses include small business, micro-businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations including independent arts contractors. Due to a limited amount of funding and the high volume of requests expected, business type, geography and industry may factor into ability to receive a grant.
