ORDA serves a huge role in the North Country economy. What impacts does the organization have, what are the costs, what challenges lie ahead, how can the surrounding communities leverage or replicate the resources? Our speaker, Liz Mezzetti, is a lifelong skier who navigated to Lake Placid to compete on the Women’s Ski Jumping Team. Today she is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Olympic Authority.

Save time to join us for a tour of the ski jumps following the meeting! Additional details will follow registration.

NCA Out and About

Representatives from the North Country Alliance, Molly Ryan (Clinton County IDA), Jeremy Evans (Franklin County IDA), Michelle Capone (DANC), and Rob Akins (Aubertine & Currier), attended Adirondack Day in Albany on May 6. Adirondack Day provides our state elected officials the opportunity to learn about living, working and playing in the Adirondacks and all of its many resources. This was the first time the North Country Alliance displayed at this event.

The NCA was also represented at the St Lawrence County Business Resource Mixer on April 30 in Canton. That event was hosted by the St. Lawrence County Business Connections Committee which includes representatives from St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, SLC Industrial Development Agency, New York Power Authority, Small Business Development Center at SUNY Canton, and the SLC Workforce Development Board.
