The North Country Alliance Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Wednesday at 11:00am. All members are welcome to join. Board meeting minutes and agendas are posted on the NCA website. The next board meeting will be April 17, via Zoom at this link.

On March 13 Ken Pokalsky, Vice President of The Business Council of NY presented a discussion for the NCA covering key legislative and regulatory issues facing New York employers, and the opportunities and challenges they might pose for the North Country.

The NCA's Annual Meeting in June will be take place at the Olympic Regional Development Authority facilities in Lake Placid. The meeting will focus on ORDA's economic impact on the region, future plans, and near-term and long-term challenges. Stick around after the meeting for a tour of the jumping facility!

Project Spotlight

Blackstone Electric is located in Dexter, NY and specializes in commercial, industrial, agricultural wiring, as well as service and maintenance work. The company is licensed for fire alarm and security systems installation as well as data, comm, and fiber optic. The project used funding from the North Country Alliance and Watertown Savings Bank to purchase the building they were renting.

MWBE Utilization Series from the SBDC

The SBDC is offering a low-cost, f-week training program for NYS MWBE businesses interested in maximizing their certification. Cost is $75 and covers best practices around contracting, RFPS and a lot more. More information and registration at this link.
