The NCA Supports Growth at Fort Drum
A Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF) at Fort Drum would bring an additional 3,000 soldiers to the area.
The NCA Education and Outreach Committee unanimously supported a letter from the NCA of its support for the Army’s investment in Fort Drum associated with the stationing of a Multi-Domain Task Force (MDTF).

A MDTF has the potential to bring 3,000 new Soldiers to Fort Drum. The Army recently requested comments from the public as it reviewed 13 installations from across the country to house potential MDTF sites. MDTF stationing is an essential step in transforming the Army into a multi-domain force by 2035. MDTF stationing supports the joint force (i.e., all U.S. military services) — plus U.S. allies — in the rapid and continuous integration of all domains of warfare: land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. The Army intends to station MDTFs at Army garrisons and joint bases so the MDTFs can quickly deploy to any theater of operations where they are needed.

There is also a move to increase the number of land banks in the area through regional cooperation efforts. Listen to the story at this link, beginning at minute 2. (A four minute listen.)
