Volume:4  Issue: 2 September 10

Dear Assumption Family,

The coming week brings one of the most exciting events in our community, Septemberfest is here! The parish sponsored carnival is a great time to gather together and enjoy good wholesome family fun.  The preperation for this event does pose some challenges for our school.

Volunteers Needed
Assumption Catholic School will have a tent in front of the school throughout the Septemberfest weekend.  This year, we will host a Robot Rally to raise some funds for our school programs and increase awareness of the new and exciting initiatives at Assumption.  The Robot Rally will allow guests to use one of our new Sphero robots to race around a course and be entered into a drawing to win a Sphero robot of their own.

Volunteers are needed to make this event a success. Please consider signing up to man our tent at somepoint throughout the weekend. Parents and students should work together. This is a great way to get involved in the school, make friends, and will apply to your 10 hours of mandatory volunteer hours.

Follow the link below to sign up for a volunteer time slot.

Parking Lot Disruption
Rides and trailers will start to arrive at school as early as Monday. This will mean that the parking lot will be occupied and there will be less room to park and move during drop off and pick up.  Please use all caution during these times and be on the look out for pedestrians while driving in the lot. All student shoud be dropped at the cone line or walked by an adult through the lot. Please do not park and have your child walk unattended to the cone line at drop off. At pick up, please meet your child in the cone line and don't allow then to walk unattended to your car.

If everyone follows these simple guidelines, we will safely get through the week ahead.

I hope you will support the parish and attend Septemberfest, I look forward to seeing you there.

Many Blessings,

Steven J. Santoli
Principal
