the AHS Mountain Biking Team at the top of the podium at Snowmass last weekend
Greetings Ospreys,

Many thanks to all who turned out for our Back-to-School Social last Friday at Buckley Park. We appreciated the chance to gather and connect!

Congratulations to the AHS Mountain Biking Team for taking 1st place in Division 3 at their first 2 races of the season with the Colorado High School Cycling League.

Enrollment is now closed for 1st semester and has opened for those interested in transferring to AHS in January at the start of 2nd semester. We are currently full in 9th grade, have room for 1 transfer student in 10th grade and a few open seats for 11th grade. These numbers may shift, and enrollment is available on a first-come, first served-basis. Interested students are welcome to complete the Intent to Enroll Form and reach out to schedule a shadow day or tour.
Next Week's Events
Sophomores will begin Sexual/Relationship Education with our counselor, Erin Skyles on Wednesday. More information here. We plan to offer sex ed to 9th graders in the spring semester.

Seniors and families are encouraged to join Erin Cummins-Roper for the FAFSA Night Wednesday from 5:30 to 7pm. Erin will help families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and answer questions about financial aid.

The School Excellence Committee meets Friday at 11:30am.
COVID Updates
We had one positive COVID case in our senior class this week. Etoile has consulted with families of all students considered high risk exposures. Contact her at [email protected] with any positive COVID results, questions or guidance you might need.
