Greetings Ospreys,

Thanks to those who attended the AHS Space Settlement Film Festival yesterday at the Animas City Theatre! The 9th graders' films demonstrated great ingenuity, scientific knowledge and artistry---view them here. We've also just posted Senior Project TED Talks from Lori Fisher's students; have a look here to see examples of the research, analysis and presentation skills our students develop by the end of their senior year.

The AHS Board of Directors will meet Wednesday 5:30-7:30 and board committee meetings next week include Fundraising Committee Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 and Marketing and Communications Committee Thursday evening 5:30 to 7:00. All are welcome.

Please join us for the final Osprey Parent Coffee next Friday, May 10, where Sean and Libby will gather feedback about the year and answer questions about end-of-year activities including All School Exhibition, Transitional Presentations of Learning, Advisory Olympics, Graduation and Staff Appreciation Luncheon.

Friday evening, the end-of-year AHS Potluck in the Park is from 5:00 to 7:00 at Rotary Park, sponsored by Student Council. Please bring a dish to share (last name A-F bring appetizers, G-L bring salad or side dish, M-T bring main dish, U-Z bring dessert) plus a picnic blanket and your favorite lawn games. This event is for all AHS families, past, present and future. Join us as we welcome juniors back from their LINK Internships , welcome new families into the fold and celebrate the end of our 10th year together!

Download your free app for real-time access to grades, assignments, attendance, schedules, announcements and more. If you are using the old Infinite Campus app, please download the new app as the old app will be removed from the app store June 2019. Your web portal will also be getting a renewed and improved look and feel.

Be sure to save the date for AHS All School Exhibition, Thursday May 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 here on campus.

Finally, next week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we will be celebrating our extraordinary educators. We would love to encourage students and families to find opportunities to thank the teachers who positively impact their lives daily. Please bring tasty treats, thank you notes or other tokens of appreciation for AHS teachers and staff any day next week to acknowledge their dedication and hard work!

As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Friday May 3, as our staff has a professional development day. Enjoy the long weekend and thanks for all you do to help the Ospreys soar!
