Greetings Ospreys,
We've loved hearing all the stories from
Osprey Week
today, as students and staff make their way back and wrap up the week. Be sure to check out all the
photos
from their adventures on the AHS Facebook page. We appreciate all the leadership, vision and energy our staff puts into creating amazing experiences for our students!
We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from public health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic over spring break, and will keep communicating with our families as the situation evolves. Our response will align with Durango 9R School District should there be any closures. As you may know, 9R announced last night that their spring break will be extended for two days for all students. We will follow suit, which means that
at this time, the plan is for students to return to AHS on
Wednesday, March 25
rather than Tuesday, March 24.
Our staff plans to gather on Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th for our previously scheduled Professional Development day plus a day to refine any necessary plans in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. As we've discovered, recommendations are shifting quickly;
we will keep you posted about any further changes or updates.
All returning and new students' families should have received 2020-21 school year registration information via email.
Please complete registration by Monday March 15 so we have an accurate count and know how many spots we can offer to new students.
If you need the registration information resent to you, please email
libby.cowles@animashighschool.com
.
We hope that all our families have a safe, restful and enjoyable Spring Break, even if your plans may have shifted. Thanks for all you do to help the Ospreys soar!
