FROM
THE NEST
Dear Assumption Family,
I'm sure for you, just like me this year has flown by. I can't believe we are just a few weeks away from summer break.
I am reminded each day in the halls of Assumption that our 8th graders are moving on to further their education, do great things in the community and follow the path that Christ has made for them.
I see them with their little buddies, I see them acting on stage, I see them winning awards, and I see them wearing their 8th grade sweatshirts proudly even on the hottest days! Soon I will see them going onto fine high schools throughout our area.
This week, I was fortunate to take our Graduation picture together and I was reminded how much time has gone since I first met them over 4 years ago when they were only in 5th grade.
I have had the pleasure of seeing them grow to be strong, wonderful young men and women. I wish them well throughout their last days as an Assumption Eagle, but want them to know they will always be part of our family.
My blessings,
Steven J. Santoli
Principal

Assumption Enrollment

Currently we have 190 students registered for next year. This will be the largest enrollment we will have seen over the last 5 years. We thank all those that continue to spread the good word about an Assumption education.
We are still welcoming students in grades 1-8 and Tours are available Monday to Thursday throughout the month of May- please schedule now with Mrs. Santoli at

A huge Congratulations to our young Middle School actors who performed Julius Caeser on Friday under the direction of Ms. Yashavant and with support from Mrs. Yoney. Great job everyone!

All forms and donations are asked to be returned to the main office no later than June 7th. Thank you!
This week we were presented with a generous donation from the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church community by Father Cipriani towards our school efforts. We are grateful for there ongoing support!
We are proud to announce that 8th grader, Lichel was presented with the St. Thomas Aquinas Medal by the Diocese of Bridgeport at their Breakfast of Champions this past week.
Congratulations to Lichel and her family for being recognized for her hard work and dedication to her education.
We wish her the best as she moves onto Notre Dame Fairfield next year!
Parent Spotlight
We all know you recognize this face! It is none other than Mrs. Karen Guastelle. We are pleased to feature her for her years of dedication to our school, not only as a past employee, but for her years of volunteerism working as chairperson of events, soliciting donations on behalf of the school, filling the halls with cheer and laughter but most of all for being an amazing mom to Jake, 8th grader who will graduate in just a few weeks.
Mrs. Guastelle has gone above and beyond to ensure not only Jake has a positive experience at Assumption but that everyone that walks the halls does! As 8th grade class parent, she has led the way to ensure Graduation details are in order and that everyone has a memorable time.
We can't imagine Assumption without her and hope we never have to! If you see Mrs. Guastelle over the coming days as she celebrates the bitter sweet 8th grade festivities, be sure to thank her for all she has done.
Luckily the Guastelle family will be right down the road at Notre Dame & Sacred Heart!
Special thanks to Mr. Guastelle too for all his support with our sports programs throughout the years as well.
