NEWS
FROM
THE NEST
Dear Assumption Family,
Thank you to all our families that see the value of an Assumption Catholic School education and have enrolled for next year. Financial assistance notification letters were sent home with students late last week and new families were sent in the mail. If you have not received it by now look for it in your child's backpack or in the coming days. These letters indicate the awards your child received from the following sources; Bishop's Scholarship Fund, Knuth Scholarships, CEO Foundation, Kremer Foundation, and other private sources.
There has been a significant demand for financial assistance and we are blessed to have so many donors and partners that allow us to offer this assistance to our families. It is impossible to meet all of the need, but I have been tasked by the Bishop to help make an Assumption education affordable to any family that desires it for their child.
Please review your letter and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
If you feel that you still need more financial assistance, please complete the included TAC request form and include a letter that explains why you need additional assistance.
To be eligible for additional tuition assistance the following criteria must be met:
2018-19 FACTS account must be up to date
Must complete the 2019-20 FACTS Grant and Aid application online
Must be registered for the 2019-20 school year.
If needed, please submit your completed TAC application and personal letter of appeal to the main office by May 28 to be considered for additional aid.
Thank you again for your commitment to your children and Assumption Catholic School.
Many Blessings,
Steven J. Santoli
Principal

In and Around Assumption
This week we gathered as a school community to raise funds and awareness for Assumption. Thanks to Ms. Andrade (2nd grade) we raised over $1200 with our Tape the Teacher & Father Cipriani event. You can see from the pictures she was a great sport as we Taped her to the Wall of the school. Special Guests News12 featured us online and on the news Friday. In addition, the Fairfield County Catholic is covering the story as well. Great job Ms. Andrade, Mrs. Yoney and Father Cipriani!
This Saturday the 6th Grade hosted the Sweetheart Dance for the school. Parent volunteers did an amazing job transforming the Hall and the dance floor was full! Thank you to all those that attended. Below is our 6th graders dressed to impress!
The Fund for Assumption- NOW DOUBLE YOUR GIFT!!
The Fund for Assumption is one way you can help grow our school for years to come. Gifts of any kind are greatly appreciated between now and the end of the year(June 30) to help offset tuition costs, increase scholarship opportunities and more. Now until June 30 you can double your gift, thanks to a generous donor who will match your gift dollar for dollar!

Each class will wear a different color T-shirt- details will come from your teacher on what color to wear. There will be plenty of water available and please wear sunscreen before arriving to school.
We need many parent volunteers to help make the day run smoothly. Please sign up with the link below, there are many time slot opportunities.
Next year we will be producing a Directory for all families, so you can have contact information for each other and stay connected as a family. In addition, it will include a school year calendar with important dates and events. Thanks to St Joseph High School, Notre Dame and other local institutions and businesses this directory will be printed and provided free of charge to all families and faculty at our Summer Welcome Back Picnic.
There is also an opportunity to insert your own business card or ad in the Directory so families are aware of businesses and resources in our area. For just $50 send your business card via email to
[email protected]or drop off at school. Thanks for your consideration.
