THE NEST
Dear Assumption Family,
One of my favorite days of the year was held last Thursday-Field Day. It is a chance for me to get out of the office, out of the halls of Assumption and get hands on time with our students. It reminds me of my school days in Long Island when I had a chance to play with my friends and build teamwork.
Fun was had by all at this year's Field Day in Owen Fish Park. I am appreciative and thankful for all our volunteers and for those that helped contribute to the event and of course our tie-dyed teachers who led their students throughout the day.
A special thank you to Mrs. Heather Ferullo, our PE teacher for planning and organizing a successful day, without her leadership the day would not of been the huge success it was.
In the coming days, more of my favorite days will take place. Prek & Kindergarten graduation, and the many activities surrounding the 8th grades last days and graduation. Please pray for them and their families during this joyous time.
Many blessings,
Steven J. Santoli
Principal
WE ARE ASSUMPTION
This week we feature our 4th Grade students for their hard work researching, creating and presenting their State Projects. They made not only visual displays but also created videos on the green screen! Thank you goes out to their teacher Ms. Lauren Korres for her leadership and creativity around this project.
A huge Congratulations to our young baseball club players. Although the rain got in the way for some of their practices/games, they still had a great time getting to know each other and learning about the sport. Thank you to Mr. Adamoski, parent volunteer and Ms. Kathy Andrade(2nd grade) for overseeing this great after school group here at Assumption!
The New PTA- Together for our Children
To Kick-Off the upcoming school year and the new PTA led by Co-Presidents, Cindy Doak & Jason Adamoski for 2019-2020, the school hosted a Meet & Greet at Harlan Haus in Bridgeport followed by a Night of Comedy at the Stress Factory next door for all new PTA members and Class Champions(formerly Room Parents). Nearly 20 people were in attendance and it was a great way to get everyone excited for their new role next year. Thank you to the Stress Factory for donating the tickets to the show!
