Generations Gallery Update
During the 2019-2020 Generations Gallery renovation, we promised an accessible gallery that rotates the museum’s artifact collection to provide a new experience at each visit. We are happy to announce that we have updated The People of Northeastern Wisconsin section to focus on childhood.

Although the groups of people living in this region may seem different from each other, they have much more in common. Language, traditions, beliefs, clothing, music, and food are elements of all cultures. The ways people express these elements make each culture unique. Come and discover in this updated section - how children played, traveled, learned, and dressed in Northeastern Wisconsin.

Beauty of the Beasts
Now open!
The history of art teems with animals and may indeed have begun with images of beasts painted on the walls and ceilings of caves. Since that time, animals have appeared in the visual arts in everything ranging from decoration to symbols and allegories. This exhibit will share 140 pieces of animal art from the Neville Collection and highlight fun animal facts. Get your your tickets here!
Savage Ancient Seas
Final month!
This is the only traveling exhibit featuring the marine fossil world of the Late Cretaceous Period. The exhibit is filled with huge carnivorous marine reptiles, gigantic flesh-eating fish big enough to swallow an adult human, flying reptiles with the wingspan of a small airplane, and the biggest sea turtles to have ever lived.

Unrivaled for their amazing varieties, voracious appetites, incredible teeth, and gaping jaws, the creatures of the Savage Ancient Seas are unlike anything known in today's world! Fantastic specimens are accompanied by accurate and engaging information via kiosks, touchscreens, graphic panels, mobile device content, big-screen videos, and real fossils for visitors to touch. Register for your spot today!
