109th Green Bay Art Colony

Now open!

In September 1915, the Green Bay Art Club held its first public art exhibit in the children’s room of the Kellogg Public Library (125 S. Jefferson St.). This exhibit laid the foundation for a permanent museum in the library in 1917, which became the Neville Public Museum. Ever since then, Colony artists have held an annual art exhibit at the Neville Public Museum.

The Green Bay Art Colony is a growing and thriving group of female artists. For more than a century, hundreds of women have been part of the Green Bay Art Colony where they continue to inspire each other, educate the public, encourage new artists, and give scholarships to art students. Styles, the name, and club rules may have changed over time, but the dream to keep art and culture part of the community remains the same. Experience the 109th Green Bay Art Colony Juried Exhibition that showcases the talents of this dynamic group of women artist and makers.

Youth Art Month

Now open!

Experience the many creative works of art by students in grades K through 12 from 34 schools in Northeast Wisconsin. This multi-media exhibit, sponsored by the Wisconsin Art Education Association, highlighted Youth Art Month, a national celebration sponsored by The Council for Art Education. The annual celebration emphasized the value of art education for all children and encourages support for quality art programs in Wisconsin schools. Selected works from this exhibit will move onto the state exhibit in Madison.

Sunflower Network

The Neville has joined Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network in an effort to create a more inclusive space for all. Globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability. Of those, 80% are invisible - or 1.3 billion people across the world are living with a non-visible disability.

The global Sunflower network aims to raise awareness of non-visible disabilities. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard or badge is a simple and discrete tool that allows someone with an invisible disability to indicate that they may need extra help, understanding, or just more time. We at the Neville are proud to help raise awareness and recognize these challenges, and now have the training to better address and accommodate folks who choose to share.
