An Evening with Lynda Drews

Tuesday, June 4

5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

After a spectacular sold out show in April, author Lynda Drews has graciously agreed to an encore presentation of her best-selling sensation, The Maid and the Socialite!

When two women from opposite ends of the social spectrum find themselves victims of celebrated surgeon and closet abuser, Dr. John R. Minahan, they both fight to tear down his pristine legacy and advocate for long-silenced victims.

Lynda will talk about the book and then answer questions after. Books are available for sale in the Neville Gift Shop. Tickets sold out quickly last month so be sure to get yours today! Neville Members tickets are $7.50; Non-Members pay $10.00 each.

Sayaka Ganz: Reclaimed Creations

Now Open!

Sayaka Kajita Ganz was born in Yokohama, Japan and grew up living in Japan, Brazil, and Hong Kong. She earned an MFA in 3D Studies with concentration in sculpture from Bowling Green State University and a BFA in Printmaking with a minor in Theater and Drama from Indiana University. Ganz utilizes reclaimed plastic objects like brush strokes which appear visibly unified at a distance though separate at close proximity. She describes her style as “3D impressionism.” Sculptures in this exhibition include recent work depicting animals in motion, which are rich in color and energy that create an illusion of form.

Telling Our Stories: LGBTQ+ Voices of Northeastern Wisconsin

Now Open!

LGBTQ+ history extends long before the iconic Stonewall Uprising and milestone historical moments continue to be made daily. Explore some of the courageous pioneers, influential moments, and hard-won victories for the LGBTQ+ community at the local, state, and national level.

This exhibit has been made possible thanks to a collaboration with University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center.

Community Doors

Now Open!

Through art the Neville Public Museum collects and shares the voices of our communities along with connecting those communities to bridge between different generations. Community Doors is a partnership with local LGBTQ+ youth groups and organizations to celebrate identities and share voices, stories, and experiences through art.

The Community Doors were decorated at outreach events, summer camps and organization meetings hosted by the UW-Green Bay Pride Center and the Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity. The doors were donated by the Greater Green Bay Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

Meet Your Neville Team!

We are so excited to be celebrating a full year with Dani Fulwiler as our Digitization & Research Technician! Dani obtained her Bachelors of Arts in History, Humanities, and First Nation Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, her Master's in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is presently wrapping up her Doctor of Education in First Nation Education from UWGB.

Prior to joining us at the Neville, she worked as a cultural resource specialist at UWGB, and a processing assistant for the university archives.

Dani is passionate about learning! Outside of work she enjoys reading, aviation, and quality time with her pets and family. We are thrilled to have her on the team!

Hidden Disabilities Welcome!

The Neville has joined Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network in an effort to create a more inclusive space for all. Globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability. Of those, 80% are invisible - or 1.3 billion people across the world are living with a non-visible disability.

The global Sunflower network aims to raise awareness of non-visible disabilities. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower lanyard or badge is a simple and discrete tool that allows someone with an invisible disability to indicate that they may need extra help, understanding, or just more time. We at the Neville are proud to help raise awareness and recognize these challenges, and now have the training to better address and accommodate folks who choose to share.
