Ohio limits opioid prescriptions

Yesterday, Governor John Kasich announced a plan to limit the amount of prescription opioids for short-term pain to no more than seven days for adults and five days for minors. The new rules also require doctors to provide a specific diagnosis and procedure code for every painkiller prescription they write. The goal is to intervene where experts say many addictions begin, the doctor's office.
