Continuing our train theme, one day in 1895, the Granville-Paris express was running a few minutes late. Trying to make up the time, the driver came into the station a little fast and, well, this is what happened.
Why am I telling you this? Partly to use another unlikely photo (hopefully now out of copyright), but mainly to get you to click on this month's feature article. The fact is, we can all learn a lot from this accident - not least myself, who earlier in June was guilty of ignoring a basic food safety rule because it seemed expedient to do so.
