WITS (Women in Theological Study)
WITS meets in Barnabas at 9:30 AM on Thursday mornings.

Tomorrow we will talk about Rachel Held Evans’ influence on our lives as individuals. And if you’re new to her work? Come, and let us tell you stories of how we discovered her, and what she has meant to us. We’ll think deliberately about her witness, her work, and her world. To prepare? Well, you could do a little internet research abut each of these, or if you have books of hers, you might skim through them. Even if you just come with a question, you know we’ll find ourselves enriched!

June 13 Book Swap
Next week, bring a book to swap—something you’ve enjoyed and think others might as well! Heather Bottoms will facilitate and we’ll all go home the richer! While my grandfather used to say (jokingly) “Readin’ll rot yer mind” reading also feeds the soul… and I’m pretty sure it’s good mental compost.

The Lord's Lift
Here is how this transportation system will work: If you can offer a ride to someone to church on Sunday…Contact the church office to be placed on a Sunday Rotation Schedule. If you have a Sunday preference, (i.e. 1st Sunday of the month), let that be known. Ideally, you would be part of a rotation schedule, where you would be on Sunday driving duty once a month. Our hope is that there will be more than one volunteer drivers each week. The drivers would need to be flexible as to which service the parishioner needing a ride, wanted to attend…or if multiple drivers, we assign match up people to drivers to cover each desired time.

If you need a ride to church on Sunday…Contact the church office before 4:00 pm on the Thursday before the Sunday that you need a ride to church. Provide our Parish administrator with your name, address, contact information, if you use a walker or wheelchair, and your preference of Sunday Service time. The Lord’s Lift driver will contact you to finalize transportation.
