Thanks to everyone who participated in our discussion groups over the past two months. We had over 20% of the parish involved in the conversations and it proved to be quite fruitful. We are having one more presentation of the results of the feedback

There will be corn hole, a playground for kids, and fun for all ages.
Fried chicken, tea and lemonade provided. Last names beginning "A-N" please bring side dishes, "O-Z" bring desserts. There are picnic tables in the pavilion, but feel free to bring extra chairs.

Our back-to-school lock-in is

Saturday, August 24! St. Paul's parish picnic is that day at Jim Warren Park beginning at 4 PM - all youth are encouraged to attend. We will gather
at the park at 7pm and depart from there!
What is a lock-in?
It's a fun-filled overnight extravaganza designed for our youth (6th-12th graders) to build relationships with each other in their church home!

The fabulous WSP Bazaar is fast approaching, and we need your help, please! Let us count the ways:
- Drop off quality donations Sunday through Thursday: cookware, electronics, art, linens, toys, purses, jewelry, crystal and china, small appliances, garden goods, etc. Drop off hours are in the signup link below.
- Spread the word outside of our church family: please post* the attached flyer to your social media (especially neighborhood groups!) and asking local businesses to put it on their bulletin boards; there are printed copies at church you can distribute
- SHARE CONTACTS with charities that pick up unsold items Sunday afternoon!

Rally Day - Save the Date!

Join us on
September 8th for our annual Christian formation kick-off! This year's rally day will be football themed, so be sure to wear your team colors or gameday gear to church. This will be the first Sunday that we switch back to our regular schedule of four services on Sundays: 7:30, 8:45, 11:00 and 6:00.

Acolyte Training -
Time Change!

Calling on all our young people…. your church needs you! If you are a fourth grader or up, we would love for you to become an acolyte at St. Paul’s. Being an acolyte is fun and a big help during worship. If you are interested in learning more please come to the Acolyte Training session on
Sunday, September 8 at
4 PM
in the church. This training for ALL acolytes, both new and seasoned. We hope to see you there. If you would like to become an acolyte but cannot attend the training please contact Father Rusty ([email protected]).

St. Paul’s Music Ministry is back in full swing in September! If you are interested in singing or ringing with us, Donna would love to talk to you. The Historic Committee and the Bicentennial Committee have been hard at work, planning and preparing for the Bicentennial celebrations! The Committees want to encourage members and friends of St. Paul’s to be a part of the
Bicentennial Society.
Everyone is welcome. St. Paul’s has so much to celebrate as we move forward to the Bicentennial (only 8 short years away)! Please consider becoming part of the
Bicentennial Society,
and consider helping the Committees with the planning and preparations. There is plenty for all of us to do.

Beloved Community: Task Force for Racial Reconciliation
Pilgrimage Registration Now Open
|
All are invited to join the
Beloved Community in the Diocese of Tennessee
on September 21 for the second pilgrimage to the
National Memorial for Peace and Justice and The Legacy Museum
. At this point we have only one bus (56 seats), but if there is enough demand by late August we will secure two buses. The last day to sign up will be September 6.
There are two options for registration:

The retreat committee has been hard at work pulling our wonderful heArt & Soul weekend together. If you are interested in helping in any way please let one of us know. Treasures for the goodie bags are being collected and if you would like to contribute to our bags either with an item or donation please let Katie, Kathy, Mindy, Vicki or Becky know. Our theme this year is,
“This I Promise” and we will be using colors and rainbows. If you have joined us on the mountain in the past you know what an amazing and special weekend this is, If you have not joined us in the past, please consider coming to the heArt & Soul 2020 weekend (
February 7-9th). More information will be coming in the very near future.
