Registration Time- Education for Ministry (EfM)
|
The Right Reverend George Councell, former bishop of New Jersey, was fond of saying that it is hard to be an adult Christian with an 8th grade education. He was a proponent of adult Christian formation in general, and Education for Ministry (EfM) in particular. His words have spurred many to learn more about their faith. St. Paul’s has an active EfM group. This coming year we will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-9:00 pm. Meetings resume in September, but now is the time to register. If you are interested in the bible, church history, and Christian theology EfM could be the program for you. For more information contact Jean Larson at [email protected] or 847-987-6949 (cell) or Kelly Pitsenberger at [email protected] or 615-598-6695 (cell).

Here is how this transportation system will work: If you can offer a ride to someone to church on Sunday…Contact the church office to be placed on a Sunday Rotation Schedule. If you have a Sunday preference, (i.e. 1st Sunday of the month), let that be known. Ideally, you would be part of a rotation schedule, where you would be on Sunday driving duty once a month. Our hope is that there will be more than one volunteer drivers each week. The drivers would need to be flexible as to which service the parishioner needing a ride, wanted to attend…or if multiple drivers, we assign match up people to drivers to cover each desired time.
If you need a ride to church on Sunday…Contact the church office
before 4:00 pm on the Thursday
before the Sunday that you need a ride to church. Provide our Parish administrator with your name, address, contact information, if you use a walker or wheelchair, and your preference of Sunday Service time. The Lord’s Lift driver will contact you to finalize transportation.
