It's a Wrap - Chili/Chile Cook-off
A tasty evening was had by all that attended the chili/chile cook-off on September 25th. Through votes cast for favorite chili/chile dishes, plus additional donation by several people in attendances, a total of $1426 was raised to benefit the Placitas Bullsnakes, the new 4H club here in Placitas. Several members of the club were interviewed to determine what the group does, and why the kids joined this group. Age-dependent answers ranged from comments like, it's fun, we do lots of projects, we learn new things, my mom thought it was a good idea. Prizes were awarded for the top three dishes and included special aprons and medals. A basket raffle was also held to raise additional funds.
