This month, we'd also like to offer Kudos to the Placitas Community Library for receiving a $100,000 appropriation for the installation of solar panels. And did you know that our Placitas Library first began in the late 1950's, due to the vision of two local residents, Frances Escarcida and Adela Garcia, by providing books in the local school hallway. If you'd like to learn more, there will be a presentation on the library's origin and history on Aprlil 7th at 2 pm at, yes, the Placitas Community Library.
