"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17

This month in chapel, the Bible stories are about the miracles of Jesus. We always focus on God's unconditional love for all of us. We appreciate our chapel leaders: Pastor Tim, Mr. John, Mr. Andrew, Ms. Pam and Ms. Suzanne. Of course, Sam, our puppet friend makes an appearance each week. The children love seeing Katherine, our puppeteer!

You are welcome to come to chapel any time. It's held Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:45 - 10:00 am.

Preschool Fun
President's Day was celebrated in a few classrooms. Cherry trees and Presidents appeared on the wall.

There were many Dr. Seuss celebrations going on last week in every age group. Green eggs were on the snack menu for some brave children.

On Monday, March 4, we welcomed four special musicians to our 4 and 5-year-old music classes who demonstrated their instrumental talents and helped Ms. Katherine complete her unit on musical instrument families. Children saw and heard many musical instruments - guitar, percussion instruments of many kinds, trumpet, flute, piccolo, clarinet, piano and organ to name a few!

The mission of GSLP is to provide a Christ-centered early childhood preschool through faith-based education and service in a nurturing inclusive environment.
The Educational Philosophy of Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool
The focus of the preschool is to meet children’s needs and stimulate learning in these developmental areas:   *Physical    *Emotional/ Social    *Spiritual    *Cognitive        *Music/Art
To nurture these areas the Preschool’s objectives are to:
  • Integrate Christian faith formation throughout the curriculum.
  • Develop a cooperative/supportive relationship between the child, the family and the preschool.
  • Provide developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Teach children about their relationship with God and all people in the world.
  • Provide tools for assessment of students’ progress.

Our teachers relate education to the child’s understanding about God and Christian life so that the spiritual and developmental aspects of the curriculum become a foundation for a lifelong faith.
