COLLABORATIONS CORNER
They say it takes a village and Prince George truly supports CNC students! Tourism and Hotel Management Post-Diploma student Amandeep Singh had the opportunity to get hands-on experience working with Tourism PG and Camille MacDonald of Pop Media on a recent tour of Goodsir Nature Park. Amandeep experienced snowshoeing for the first time and learned how to capture a “feeling” with images and words for the purpose of tourism marketing.
Similarly, Joshua Shin, had an article published on Tourism PG’s website sharing his experiences and images from parks all over Prince George. Students have also been treated to tours of the Sandman Signature Suites, the Courtyard Marriot and presentations from: “Ride the Wild” blogger Troy Lee; Annie Doran the Manager Marketing and Communications for Tourism PG; Christina Doll from Move Up Prince George and the Workforce Development Officer at the City of Prince George; and Lheidli T’enneh members Rena Zatorski and Josh Seymour who presented on Aboriginal Tourism. UNBC, the Chamber and CNC appreciate these keen community supports to make a student’s education bridge into practical application.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
PROFILE SERIES

Vice President - Finance Bill Quinn
A sole proprietor, Bill has enjoyed representing the majority of Prince George Chamber’s membership. With the business climate seeming to improve overall in Prince George, he sees an even greater need for local businesses to be positioned to take their rightful place in the global market as Prince George is on the edge of becoming a player in the world markets. As a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, a key accomplishment is being instrumental in developing the Chamber’s Strategic Plan from 2014-2018. Bill looks forward to another opportunity to continue to help move the small business community forward as a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and ensure the Chamber maintains its strong financial position.
