Kyle Sampson, Director
|
Kyle Sampson is a Marketing, Entertainment, and Communications Professional in Prince George.
Originating his career as a Radio Broadcaster, over the years Kyle built his skill set and reputation in the business community, and he now manages Marketing, Communications, Events, and Sales in Northern BC with Pacific Western Brewing.
Kyle is passionate about bettering the community he lives in. In addition to the work he does at PWB, he dedicates the majority of his spare time being active around town, volunteering and doing contract work with a number of charities, non-for-profits, events and local businesses. On a personal side, Kyle’s biggest interest is in the music industry. He takes every chance he
can to fly away to catch a concert… or seven, and has also worked with a number of bands.
In 2016 Kyle was awarded 1st Place in Best Dancer at the ‘Boogie with the Stars’ event, a fundraiser for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. He was also the recipient of the 2016 ‘Hell Yeah Prince George Ambassador’ award at the Business Excellence Awards - One of the numerous events he MC’d last year.
His heart is in this community, and he is proud to call Prince George home.

College of New Caledonia and University of Northern British Columbia graduate Shawn Hegan is pursuing his Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation while he works at Canfor. Both CNC and UNBC are accredited with CPHR, making it easier for graduates to obtain their designation while working with local employers.
Success of collaborations such as this is highly dependent on partnerships developed with local businesses responsible for leading students with practicum placements throughout the city. These placements are short but highly valued by the students, making it a win-win as employers also get assistance in tackling an HR-related project that may have been on their “things to do” list for a while.

COLLEGE OF NEW CALEDONIA APPLIED BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY - ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT PROGRAM
|
The College of New Caledonia Applied Business Technology - Administrative Assistant program is seeking host employers for work experience. Our students are trained in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Skype for Business), manual bookkeeping, Sage 50 accounting, keyboarding, calculators, office procedures, business communications, and human relations.
There are 3, one-week practicums scheduled on the following dates:
January 29 – February 2, March 12-16 & April 9-13, 2018.
