Library Card Sign-Up Month was a Success! Thanks to you!

September was a great success for Library Card Sign-Up Month at the Round Rock Public Library! Our staff visited more than 10 locations around Round Rock throughout the month—meeting residents, signing up new members, and sharing all the ways a library card can inspire learning and connection. From community events and local businesses to neighborhood gatherings, we loved seeing so many new faces join the RRPL community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and helped make this year’s celebration such a success!

This year’s Library Card Sign-Up Month featured a fun twist—a guessing game inviting everyone to guess how many books are in the library’s collection! Fun fact -- we have 189,997 physical books inside of the library!

More than 2,400 people joined the challenge, submitting their best guesses for a chance to win a prize. It was a great way to spark curiosity about just how many stories, adventures, and ideas are waiting to be discovered at the Round Rock Public Library.

If you don’t have your library card yet, there’s no better time to get one! A Round Rock Public Library card opens the door to books, digital resources, events, and endless opportunities to learn, connect, and grow—all for free.*

*Note: Not all Round Rock addresses or zip codes fall within the city corporate boundaries.
