Summer is a great time for tweens/teens at the Rye Y!

Teen Adventure Camp is for adventurous teens, grades 5-9, who enjoy visiting a different destination every day. Campers visit amusement parks, baseball games, water parks, NYC attractions, science centers and more!  Click here for details and to view a slide show.

Teen Fitness Camp is for teens, ages 11-14, who want to learn more about fitness and get into great shape. Participants learn about using the Fitness Center, ExerZone and Freestyle Fitness Zone  and work with coaches to achieve their individual goals. Activities include games, swimming, strength training, Pilates, agility training and more! Sports Camp is now open to teens up to age 14! Teen sports enthusiasts who want to develop their individual and team skills are welcome.  We offer Basketball, Soccer, Baseball & Multi-Sport camps.  Click here for more information .
Leaders in Training (LIT) is for youth grades 6-8 who want to develop as a leader in a camp setting. LITs will be coached in tasks that include activity planning and camper supervision and will earn community service hours. Click here for details.
Counselors in Training (CIT) is for teens who have completed grades 9 and 10. CITs participate in activities that are aimed at building their own unique leadership skills. Click here for details and application form. 

30th Annual Rye Derby and Healthy Kids Day

We're celebrating our 30th Anniversary with these fun activities:
  • Eamonn Coghlan, Derby founder, 3-time Olympian, former World Champion and Irish Senator, will return to preside over the races and award ceremony
  • We're launching Derby Goes Green, a social responsibility initiative to reduce waste, increase recycling and raise environmental awareness.
  • We're going crazy for the 80s with contests for the best 1980s dress and hair styles. Get out your tube socks and shoulder pads!
Healthy Kids Day activities are FREE and open to the community
No registration necessary. Active games, climbing wall, arts & crafts, live music and free food! It's a fun day for everyone!  Join the Rye Y on April 29th and we'll waive the $100 joiner's fee. 

Spring Program Registration

Join Us for Community Service at the Rye Nature Center!
The Rye Y's Togetherhood Committee is teaming up with Friends of the Rye Nature Center for a family-friendly day of service in the woods. Enjoy a morning of outdoor planting on Saturday, April 14, 10 am - Noon. For ages 5 and up.  Children under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Rye Y's Pre-School Enrichment Program - NEW!
Our new Pre-School Enrichment Program for children 3-5 years old starts in September.  Participants may choose between a morning or afternoon program on Tuesdays and Thursdays (2 day) or Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (3 day). Weekly activities include: swimming, movement, music, enrichment, sports, art and cooking.  Transportation is available to/from CCNS.  Registration has already started for members and starts today (April 2) for non-members. Back Handspring clinic: Saturday, April 15, 1:15-2:30pm
Ages 5 and up. The clinic will cover backward rolls, back extensions, back walkovers and back handsprings! Beginner to advanced.   Family/Youth: $30; Non-Member: $40  Click here to register

Parent's Night Out: Friday, April 20, 6:30-9:00pm
Enjoy a night out while we provide a safe and fun environment for the  kids! 
Ages 3 mos-5 years: Storybook Activities: "Butterfly Butterfly"
Located in Child Watch and includes an age appropriate snack.

EXERDROP in the ExerZone: Wednesdays, 4:30-6:30pm
Drop your kids off in the ExerZone for supervised, safe and structured play!
Ages 5-10, 1 hour limit. No reservations needed; purchase wristbands ($5/child) at Member Services. Limited to 16 children, supervised by two trained Rye Y staff. (No other adults are allowed in the ExerZone during this time.)

Celebrate your child's birthday in the ExerZone!

Rye Y's Swim Team Wins League Championships and Places 4th Overall in States

The Rye Y Wave Ryeders capped off a winning season on March 18, placing 4 th
overall out of forty teams at the YMCA State Championships in Buffalo. They racked up their highest point total ever in the meet and brought home several individual and team awards.  Read more

Check In So We Can Better Serve You
It is important that you have your Y membership card  with you,  or a smart phone with the Rye Y's app,  and check in each time you enter the facility. Checking in is important for security and accurate facility usage records. We appreciate your cooperation in helping to keep our members safe. You will see changes to the way we improve the check-in process in 2018.  
Ask your employer or insurance company if they reimburse part of your Y membership fees. Checking in is required to receive this benefit.

We have several open positions for our Rye Y camps, especially for those 18 years and older. Click here to learn more. 

For everyone's safety we ask that you abide by the following: 
* Pedestrians have the right of way in our parking lot. 
* Please... do not speed through the parking lot or in the Mead Place neighborhood. 
* Handicapped parking spaces are only for those people  with valid handicap stickers. These spots are NOT for pick-up and drop-off. The Rye Police Department will ticket violators. 
* Rye Y parking spaces are only for use when you are using the Y. No long term or commuter parking allowed.  Cars parked for any other reason are subject to being towed.
*For environmental, health and legal reasons, please do not idle your car in the parking lot or circle.
*Our free, assisted parking is available for your convenience.  When our lot is busy,  we recommend you use one of the municipal lots. The lots are free on Sunday and after 6pm on weekdays and Saturday. 
*Please consider using the municipal lot, free after 6pm, as an alternative during the busy 6-7pm drop-off and pick-up timeframe.
