it’s been amazing to see how the Rye YMCA supports our broader community, including neighboring towns like Port Chester and Mamaroneck.


I’ve learned that the YMCA is the largest childcare provider nationally and has expanded its childcare and early education offerings locally. There’s also a focus on programming for teens and the elderly. My mom is a widow, and it’s cool to see how important her local Y has become to her. Read more

Class Reservation Update In response to member feedback, we are updating our cancellation policy. You may now cancel a reserved class without penalty up to four hours before the start time. Additionally, we are increasing the waitlist capacity to four spots.

PULSE arrives in February

PULSE is a dynamic group training program designed to energize and engage members. Classes are circuit-style and last 45 minutes. Participants track their heart rate zones live on a television display for real-time feedback. Due to software issues, the launch has been delayed. Intro to Personal training with InBody will also be offered later this month. Watch for pop-up classes this month. Click here for details.

On January 26, the WaveRyeders faced off in an exciting and competitive meet against the White Plains YW Middies, securing a well-earned victory! This was the final dual meet for our amazing seniors: Megan Tiedemann, Jeanne Barry, Brendan Palmer, and Chris Miklitsch.


Next up: the annual Blue and White Meet and the start of championship season! 

Community leaders gathered at the Y Studios on Tuesday, January 7 to select the winners of Heads Up! A Distracted Driving and Walking Poster Contest. The contest, which began 14 years ago as part of the Rye Y’s Safe Routes to School initiative, engages Rye High School students in creating posters that illustrate the dangers of distracted walking and driving and the importance of cycling safety. Our app is designed to support members on their fitness journey, allowing them to stay connected to the Y wherever they are. You can reserve gymnasium time and group exercise classes, track your workouts, register for programs, check into the Y and more!  Click here for details


Safety First 

  • Please drive slowly in the parking lot, especially after dark. Many members and children are walking to and from the facility, and they can be difficult to see. Your caution helps keep everyone safe!
  • Strollers are not allowed in the Y. Please leave them in the covered area outside.
  • Everyone entering the Y MUST check in at the Member Services Desk. ALL members must check in using their membership card, the Rye Y app or last name. ALL others must check in using a sign-in sheet.

Keep Our Community Healthy

  • Stay home if you are feeling sick.
  • Follow hand sanitizing and hand washing protocol.
  • In the Fitness Center, wipe down equipment before and after usage.

Parking at the Y

  • Our parking lots are ONLY for those using the Rye Y. Click here to read our new towing policy.
  • Please check and make sure you are parked between the lines.
  • Slow down!
  • At 21 Locust, we have a parking attendant to help if you can't find a parking spot, Monday-Friday, 8am-12pm and 3-7pm.
  • Please note the signs restricting parking to residents on portions of Mead Place.
  • No idling please. For everyone's health, for the environment and because it's the law.
