Family Outdoor Weekend: Friday, October 12- Sunday, October 14
Join us for a fun-filled weekend at the beautiful YMCA Greenkill Retreat Center in Huguenot, NY - now for the whole family! We will participate in hikes, canoeing and even nightly camp fires! Fee includes lodging, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus activities. Open to all families. Transportation not provided. Contact Kathy Lynam for registration info and questions:

Rye Y's Pre-School Enrichment Program - Starts Sept. 11 
There is still limited availability for our new Pre-School Enrichment Program for children 3-5 years old. This fall, the program will run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Weekly activities include: swimming, movement, music, enrichment, sports, art and cooking.  Transportation is available to Christ's Church Nursery School (CCNS).  Register now. Parent's Night Out: Friday, September 21, 6:30-9:00pm
Parents enjoy a night off while we provide the supervision and entertainment for the kids. 
Ages 3 mos-5 years in Child Watch : Storybook activity: Barnyard Banter (Dinner is not provided and packed dinners are not allowed due to allergies. A light snack is served.)  
Grades K-6 in Child Care Rm: STEM Activities. Includes light dinner.  

Swim Team Tryouts start September 4

A FREE, 12-week small group program designed for adult cancer survivors.

Join us for a FREE nutrition seminar.  Located in the Rye Y's 2nd floor conference room.  

Fall Prevention Day: Friday, September 21
A day to raise awareness and prevent fall-related injuries in the older adult population.  Watch for a schedule of classes and activities. Free and open to adults.

Volunteers Needed for the Westchester Triathlon on Sept. 22-23 and to help out in the days before the event. The Rye YMCA is one of the charities supported by the Westchester Triathlon. Click here to volunteer 
Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program
An evidence-based program that features personalized support for people who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. 
Wednesdays from 9am-10:30am and  Thursdays from 1:30pm-3pm

Mah Jongg/Canasta - Back at the Rye Y!

Crafty Crew: Tuesdays, 11:00am-12:30pm

Togetherhood: Community Service Projects for All Ages
Join the Rye YMCA's Togetherhood Committee for International Coastal Clean-Up Day at Edith Read Sanctuary.

"Cakes for a Cause"  Togetherhood Project with Open Door Family Medical Centers.
Learn how Open Door's Baby Box Program is helping low-income women give their newborns a healthy and safe start in life - all while assembling "Diaper Cakes" using items collected by the Rye YMCA community.
Collection drive for baby supplies: October 9-12
Diaper Cake Project at Open Door: Saturday, October 13, 10:30am-12:30am. For ages 10+. Registration opens in late September.

Spanish-Speaking Cancer Survivors Find Hope and Healing
"Even though our group was small, we became strong together." That was the sentiment of Luceli, a participant in the first Spanish-language LIVESTRONG at the YMCA class to be held at the Rye YMCA. Referred by Open Door Family Medical Centers and White Plain Hospital, four cancer survivors recently spent 12 weeks re-claiming their physical and emotional health through the program.  Read more

Our summer maintenance period will continue through September 7. The Pa Cope Pool and Girls' and Boys' locker rooms are scheduled to re-open on September 8.

Current openings include: Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, Gymanstics Coach, Gymnastics Instructor, Group Exercise Instructor, Assistant Swim Team Coach, Swim Instructor, Fitness Floor staff and Sports Instructor. Click here for details.

Membership Screening
The YMCA conducts regular sex offender screenings on all members and may screen other guests and visitors as well. If a sex offender match occurs, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel membership, end program participation, and remove visitation access. In some instances we might need to collect additional information and our Membership Engagement Director, Barbara, will reach out to you.

For everyone's safety we ask that you abide by the following: 
* Pedestrians have the right of way in our parking lot. 
* Please... do not speed through the parking lot or in the Mead Place neighborhood. 
* Handicapped parking spaces are only for those people w/ valid handicap stickers. The Rye Police Department will ticket violators 
* Rye Y parking spaces are only for use when you are using the Y. No long term or commuter parking allowed.
*For environmental, health and legal reasons, please do not idle your car in the parking lot or circle.
Our free, assisted parking is available for your convenience.  When our lot is busy,  we recommend you use one of the municipal lots. The lots are free on Sunday and after 6pm on weekdays and Saturday.    Click here to view a map of lot locations.
