Celebrating 50 Years!
Saint Joseph Villa Begins Golden Anniversary
with a Special Eucharistic Liturgy
It was a beautiful day in Flourtown, Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 17, 2017, as Saint Joseph Villa opened its Golden Anniversary Year with a special Eucharistic Liturgy. Mass was followed by a reception and tours of the newly renovated spaces at the Villa. Approximately 250 Sisters, patrons, family and friends attended the event.

Thank you to Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, OFM, Cap., D.D. and to the many priests and seminarians who celebrated this milestone with us.

Enjoy this sampling of photos from the day. More photos and an article will be featured in the Congregational magazine One With this October.

SSJ Earth Center Participates in Abbey Fest
The SSJ Earth Center set up shop at this year's Abbey Fest in Paoli, Pennsylvania. The annual festival is considered to be one of the largest Catholic celebrations of faith, family and praise in the United States. The event is held outdoors on the beautiful grounds of Daylesford Abbey.

Approximately 4,000 people participated this year and over 50 religious vendors displayed their wares. Liturgy was held at 4:00 PM, followed by a concert, which continued until 9:30 PM. The SSJ Earth Center provided an opportunity for people to sign the Catholic Climate Covenant and the St. Francis Pledge. A total of 170 people signed the pledge and many took literature about the Catholic Climate Covenant.

The SSJ Earth Center table staff included Sisters Joyce Ballerino SSJ and Mary Elizabeth Clark SSJ, John and Terry Trudeau, Mary and Luke LeTourneau and family and Associate Maryanne Williams.

Mark your calendar for Abbey Fest 2018 — Saturday, September 15, 2018!

"By the integrity of our prayful reflection, we ponder the words of our early documents and become by God's grace the Congregation of the great love of God, so that wherever we are and whatever we do our lives may proclaim the love we profess."
