Each year in LA County, enough fresh rainwater to meet the needs of 3.5 million people for a year is lost to the ocean. Residents can help capture this lost water by harvesting rain. Harvesting is a simple, low-cost way to save money on water bills, provide fresh soft water for your plants, and allow you to be a steward of your local watershed. This residential “how-to” guide can show you how.

General Assembly
Register to celebrate 30 years with us!
| |
This year’s program marks the 30th anniversary of the SBCCOG and will explore progress made as well as chart a path ahead to address challenges in sustainability, housing, homelessness, and transportation. The assembly will feature panel discussions and an exhibit hall. The community, as well as county, state, and federal legislators representing the South Bay, are invited to participate.
Attendance at the event is free thanks to SBCCOG’s generous sponsors. Lunch will be available for purchase during the online registration process for the early-bird price of $15 per person. We cannot guarantee the availability of lunch after March 12, 2025, but, if lunches are available, the cost for lunch will increase to $20 per person.
