The First Station of the Cross:
Jesus is Condemned to Death
A Prayer Excerpt from Catholic.org:

Jesus, you stand all alone before Pilate. Nobody speaks up for you. Nobody helps defend you. You devoted your entire life to helping others, listening to the smallest ones, caring for those who were ignored by others. They don't seem to remember that as they prepare to put you to death..

I was going to write something deep and poetic about Lent, or life, or family today. But I came across a video this week that exemplifies all of that. The Marsh family from Kent, England has spent their talents making all of us feel better. They dropped a family video last March and they are back again describing what a third lockdown in their home country is doing to them. Through this parody song they have displayed many principles we are always trying to preach about. They are sharing family joy, working together and blessing those around them. In many ways I think that this video, showcasing a glimpse of family life can strengthen families in England more than their government and NHS can ever do. Who, after watching this video would not want to have four kids and make music together! Enjoy the video below, we’ll be back to the serious stuff soon.

LA Catholic Morning!

Live from the Command Center
My wife, Jen, and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary the other day, and we both marveled how fast it has flown by and how blessed we've been with 3 beautiful children. And to think, the best is yet to come! Speaking of which, our guest line up for LA Catholic Morning is another best that's yet to come. Popular Wallstreet Journalist, Elizabeth Bernstein, joins us on Monday to share her article on how it's a good idea to talk to strangers during the pandemic. Don Prudlo from the Catholic Herald is our guest on Tuesday, and will speak on Church history. On Wednesday, Tom Riello will provide a recap of his talk at St Dominic's. Fr David Guffey joins us on Thursday to share about the film, Pray: The Story of Patrick Peyton, which Fr Guffey produced. Our listeners are in for a treat as we will be giving away free passes to see the movie. Finally, our dear friend and supporter of the station, Gary Cowles joins us to talk about the Coastal Clays event.

God bless you, and don't forget to call your mama!
