From the Desk of the Director
Although 2020 seems like the longest year ever, I still feel like Advent just snuck up on me.
The joyful preparation, the hope-filled season; I don’t think I’m there yet.
What I do feel is yearning.
Yearning for certainty. Yearning for peace. Yearning for a Savior.
Most days, just yearning.
My Advent prayers are not high holy praises. They are more like anguished cries in the wilderness. Very Old Testament-like.
“God”, I usually start, “I don’t need to tell You that things are still going poorly down here.”
I have no profound revelation as of yet on His response.
So I wait. Yearning.
Perhaps this is the meaning of Advent so far this year.
I will wait upon the Lord. In His time all will be fulfilled.
Hope you are finding your way in Advent this year as well.
Have a blessed week.
