The Eighth Station of the Cross:
Jesus Meets the Women of Jerusalem

The Ninth Station of the Cross:
Jesus Falls a Third Time

A Prayer Excerpt from Catholic.org:

My Jesus, by all the bitter woes Thou didst endure when for the third time the heavy cross bowed Thee to the earth, never, I beseech Thee, let me fall again into sin. Ah, my Jesus, rather let me die than ever offend Thee again..
The Tenth Station of the Cross:
Jesus' Clothes Are Taken Away

My Jesus, stripped of Thy garments and drenched with gall, strip me of love for things of earth, and make me loathe all that savors of the world and sin..
From the Desk of the Director

Perseverance. Heading into Holy Week I am reminded of this week last year. I don’t think any of us imagined the cross that our world would have to carry. At first it seemed light. Manageable. But time has revealed just how heavy it is. Perhaps illness visited your household, the loss of a job, or the breaking of families from the pressure and stress. Maybe that cross, this week, is still too heavy to bear. Like Jesus falling for the third time, we might feel we are down for the count. However, we know with sure faith that redemption is at hand. How sad for those that can’t see past the struggles of Friday to know Sunday is coming. Today let us be a light of hope in this world. Let this Holy Week reveal to all mankind that although we suffer and struggle, there is a recourse. The Son of God has died to saved us all.

May you carry a joyful cross into this Holy Week.
God Bless,

LA Catholic Morning!

Live from the Command Center
Maybe it's just me, but Lent seemed to have flown by this year! As we approach Holy Week, regardless of how your Lent was, I think this is a great opportunity to finish strong! So, to help us finish strong, I've booked what I feel to be a a strong line up of guests for Holy week. Speaking of Holy Week, Catholic author and editor of the Adoremus Bulletin, Christopher Carstens joins us on Monday and Thursday to talk about Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday, respectively. Dr Elizabeth Mitchell returns to share her article, "Christ was cancelled first" We're all getting smarter on Wednesday, as Fr Tad Pacholczyck from the National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia, addresses the question about which vaccines are the safest and most effective. Finally, since we will be airing Easter Triduum programming on Good Friday, there will be no morning show. We'll resume regular programming on Easter Monday.

Have a blessed Holy week next week and don't forget to call your Mama! She loves you!

Blessings!
