Tauber students in high demand for 2021 team projects
In spite of global business disruption, Tauber students are in high demand. Twenty-two companies from a wide range of industries have submitted 28 Tauber team project proposals. Sponsors shared recorded proposal presentations with Tauber students and will answer their questions in live zoom sessions over the next three weeks. At the first student forum of the winter term, Tauber Business Co-director Hyun Soo-Ahn cautioned students to "Buckle up! The ride will be really fast and exciting."

"I approached the problem like an engineer. If I were designing a piece of software, I’d start by thinking about all the things users might need to do with it — we call these 'use cases.' And I’d think about what the best ways for users to interact with it might be."
Like many other Michigan instructors, Tauber team project advisor and EECS Professor David Chesney quickly redesigned his courses for an online format. Prof. Chesney describes how he embraced teaching via zoom for EECS 495, a highly interactive course where students employ new tech to solve real-world problems.
