Special Primary Election Newsletter
     Tomorrow, July 7, is Primary Election Day in New Jersey and polls are open 6 am to 8 pm. This election, originally scheduled for June 9, will be conducted tomorrow because of the COVID-19 emergency. Please take a few minutes to read this special election newsletter as there are changes from the usual voting procedures and polling locations.

  • Voting in person will be done by Provisional Ballot. Only disabled voters will be able to vote on the machine. In person voters will be asked to complete a paper Provisional Ballot.
  • Your polling place may have changed for this election.
  • Wear a mask inside a polling location.
  • You must maintain 6-feet from other voters and poll workers.
  • If you received a Vote By Mail Ballot but haven’t returned it, you can still bring your completed ballot to the Ballot Drop Box in front of the Cranford Community Center.
  • Polling places are open 6 am to 8 pm
        You should have received a postcard in the mail with voting information including where to vote.
Still Not Sure Where You Vote This Year?

      Your polling place may have been moved to a different location this year to maintain social distancing and occupancy regulations. You are strongly urged to wear a mask and maintain 6-foot distance between other voters and poll workers.
    Below are districts and polling locations for this election. 
Vote By Mail Ballot Information
   
    If you received a Vote By Mail Ballot but haven’t mailed it yet, you can simply bring it to the Ballot Drop Box in front of the Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue. The box is secure and monitored by a security camera. The deadline for placing your ballot in the Drop Box is 8 pm tomorrow (July 7).
  You can also return your ballot in-person to the Union County Board of Elections, 271 N. Broad St., Elizabeth.
Be sure your name and address on the outside Ballot envelope matches the inside return ballot. If these do not match, call the Union County Clerk’s Office, 908-527-4996.
